Current Year 11’s – College Courses – Information

Please read the below information in relation to college places ahead of this year exam results:

Students who have already applied for courses will be receiving further information, if they have not already. All the colleges are continuing to accept applications from young people and adults, including current year 11s. Students who have not applied are encouraged to apply through the colleges’ websites and they will receive a response as to the next stages. They may be offered an online or telephone interview, or an unconditional offer depending on the college and the individual’s circumstances.

The colleges are keen to emphasise that year 11 students must not worry about the lack of GCSE exams this summer. The colleges are working closely with schools and exam boards and will be taking this into consideration during these exceptional circumstances. Whilst the colleges’ campuses are currently closed to all but the most vulnerable students and those of key workers, they are still operating full admissions teams who will process applications in a timely manner and applicants will be kept fully informed as to their progress through college systems.
