Are you someone who wants to make a difference to the lives of children and young people who need additional support. Would you like to work as part of a brilliant team of staff in a small and nurturing setting? Our school is different to many but provides an excellent education and support for our students.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented person for a supporting position working across the service. This comes at an exciting time as we have recently opened our third site – a purpose-built facility at Channelside in Barrow. We work with children and young people in key stages 2, 3 and 4.
Our ethos of nurture and support – coupled with high expectations for the whole learning community, continues to drive us towards greater aspirations for all our learners. We are always looking to enhance our educational offer, and this post will support our arrangements for students with complex needs and will involve curriculum delivery – we are keen to know what you could bring to our team.
We would encourage a discussion prior to application and welcome visits to the school. Please contact South Cumbria PRS on 01229 407470 and speak to Leeann Bell, Schools Business Manager.
It is important that you know about the job you are applying for, we are happy to answer any questions you may have either verbally 01229 407470 or by using the contact form. We would encourage you to visit the centre (COVID permitting) prior to making your application.
For all vacancies advertised, please use the attached application form. We are unable to accept CV’s but are happy to accept any supporting evidence you wish to submit.
Unfortunately, we cannot shortlist applications which do not demonstrate meeting essential criteria – please check that you meet the criteria as set out in the personal specification for the post.
Your application form will be scrutinised in line with our safer and fair recruitment policy so it is important that you are thorough when completing the form and can explain / evidence any discrepancies i.e. gaps in employment – please see the safer recruitment section for further information.
It is important that you read our safer recruitment pages prior to making an application.
