Year 11s – Support and Furness College Info

Posted By

Please find attached some support targeted at year 11 students and some information below from Furness College if you are considering this as an option for your next step.

Public Health Year 11

The staff are currently working on providing the exam boards with information they need next month – all schools have been advised that predicted grades cannot be shared before the exam results day (which will be in the summer).

If you have any concerns or questions please speak to the member of staff who is making calls to you or drop us an email via this address.

Many thanks

Lisa Balderstone (Headteacher)

Email from Furness College:

I just wanted to share the link below with you, which I am sure your Year 11’s will find very informative in these very unprecedented of times.

We have created a page, which contains information valuable for transition and how to plan for when we come out of lockdown and the new College Year starts.

Here is the link   The website covers work for A levels and all of our vocational courses too.

We would really appreciate it if you could share this with your year 11 group (via school jotter app, updates home etc) to give them the opportunity to get started on thinking about what comes next. It may help to alleviate some of those worries, that I am sure some will be struggling with right now.

We will be contacting our applicants to let them know about this and also promoting on social media, but I do think that your school sending out the link will be of great benefit.

If you have any worried or concerned students, I am available on the college Facebook site (messenger) to deal with any questions for both campuses.

Take Care
