Pride Month

We have been celebrating Pride month at the centre, learning about acceptance and equality, celebrating the work of LGBTQ+ people, education in LGBTQ+, history, and raising awareness of issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community.

We have made cookies in support of a news story about a small bakery in Texas that received a backlash from haters of the LGBTQ+ community. Many people boycotted the bakery when they put out a message of MORE LOVE LESS HATE and put an image of their cookies on their website. This helped us to see how damaging homophobia is and we are working towards educating and embracing. Pride is all about being proud of who you are no matter who you love. We have made our cookies with PRIDE!
