Battle to Succeed 2022
Students have taken part in an enterprise challenge called ‘Battle to Succeed’ which raised vital funds for St Mary’s Hospice Ulverston. Our school was supported and sponsored by Stollers Furniture World in Barrow. Each group were given a £30 start up fund from their sponsors and were challenged to come up with a business plan to raise money for the hospice. Our students designed and produced Christmas stockings to sell to staff, tie dye t shirts and baby grows and scented birds which they sold in Stollers. Students raised an amazing £268!!
On Wednesday 25th May students attended a presentation evening which celebrated the success of everyone who had taken part in the challenge. During this event one of our pupils presented their ideas and explained what had been completed, his skills, knowledge and confidence won the school the award for best presentation skills. Well done to everyone involved.
